Early afternoon of the 29th November was spent counting geese, ducks and waders in particular fields around the Lindisfarne reserve. Highlights included 182
Barnacle geese on grass fields at Ross, an adult
Peregrine trying to flush
Teal from a wet patch in a field at Easington Demesne and a
Little egret on the scrapes at Beal Sluice. There were 10
Whooper swans at Fenham Mill in an oilseed rape field and a further 18 at West Weetwood, east of Wooler.
